We are looking for young people up to 30 years old to join the Future of Economy Programme. Up to 4 participants from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia will be joining our 1st cohort of rising stars in economies of the region. FES is targeting young professionals with an academic profile in economics.
Applicants should have a completed bachelor’s degree in economics, master’s degree preferred. We welcome participants from all areas of professional background with a strong interest in cross-border learning and in a multi-ethnic environment.
The Future of Economy Programme (FEP) is initiated by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung in Kosovo. Western Balkans (WB) region requires progressive, forward-looking, and innovative economic ideas and concepts which drive the progressive economic thinking forward. 21st century economics includes a wide scope of sectors essential to work together to drive economic growth and sustainable development in a country. Creating a clear macroeconomic perspective is especially important for developing and transitional economies, struggling to get their share of doughnut in a globalized world.
Balanced and inclusive economic approach requires integrating the bright and future oriented minds of the WB6 countries. You are eligible to participate if you come from WB6 countries, have proven strong interest in political economy, socio-economic policies, green economy, inclusiveness, and sustainability. We will focus on creating a balanced gender and sectorial mix, as it will enable knowledge exchange and open dialogue, without compromising the quality of candidates and suitability to the programme.
The Future of Economy Programme (FEP) will take place in Brezovica, Kosovo from 23rd to 28th October 2022. For selected participants, accommodation and travel costs will be covered.
