The Project Coordinator’s role is one of an independent researcher and manager.
She/He is responsible to manage projects related to economy, sustainability and local policy making in Kosovo (with a regional perspective on the Western Balkans as well);
The selected individual is expected to work on the following tasks:
o Conceptualizing, planning, preparing, budgeting, implementing, reporting and evaluating projects;
o Authoring policy and research briefs and analyses;
o Preparing financial reports on project activities;
o Reviewing and proof-reading publications;
o Communicating and cooperating with partner organizations as well as maintaining a network of (inter-)national experts and representatives of trade unions, civil society, grassroots organizations, political parties, governing institutions, think tanks and academic institutions.
o Following up on requests by FES Headquarters (Germany) and communicating with other FES offices in the region on operational matters on a regular basis;
o Supporting external communications;
o Supporting financial planning;
o Supporting and advising the Head of Office.
o Bachelor’s degree in the fields of economics or political sciences, public administration, law or equivalent; (MA degree desired)
o Minimum of one year of professional experience in project management with work experience in an international setting being an asset;
o An excellent command of English and Albanian or Serbian including scientific and policy drafting skills; (fluency and drafting skills in German desired);
o Proven track record in community engagement.
