Bridging the Western Balkans: Parliamentary Diplomacy for Regional Security and Euro-Atlantic Integration

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) organized the "Bridging the Western Balkans: Parliamentary Diplomacy for Regional Security and Euro-Atlantic Integration Conference" on March 4, 2024. This event aimed to address crucial issues facing the region and unite key stakeholders.

The conference focused on four main themes: EU enlargement for the Western Balkans, addressing regional security challenges, the role of civil society and media in democratization, and planning future political actions and diplomatic efforts for collaboration in the region.

 

Distinguished figures attended the opening ceremony, including Arbëreshë Kryeziu Hyseni, Albin Kurti, Glauk Konjufca, and Peter Hurrelbrink, FES Country Head for Kosova and North Macedonia. Throughout the day, participants engaged in discussions on various topics, reflecting on insights and perspectives. The conference underscored the collective commitment to advancing peace, prosperity, and Euro-Atlantic integration in the Western Balkans region.
