Tuesday Salon on the Importance of Legal Protection, Policies, and Support Services in Ensuring Economic Security for Women and Providing Avenues to Escape Abuse

On April 30, 2024, the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), in collaboration with Democracy for Development (D4D), hosted an insightful Tuesday Salon at the Dukagjini Bookstore.

Tuesday Salon at the Dukagjini Bookstore. The event centered on the pressing theme of "Legal Framework and Economic Independence: The Importance of Legal Protection, Policies, and Support Services in Ensuring Economic Security for Women and Providing Avenues to Escape Abuse."

 

During the salon, attendees had the privilege of hearing from a distinguished panel of experts: Edi Gusia, Chief Executive Officer at the Gender Equality Agency; Adelinë Sahiti, Director for Social Welfare at the Municipality of Prishtina; and Judita Krasniqi, Researcher and Project Manager at Democracy for Development (D4D).

 

Together, these panelists engaged in a thought discussion, moderated by Kadri Gashi from the Center for Counseling, Social Services, and Research, highlighting the importance of legal protections and support services in empowering women economically and advancing gender equality in Kosovo.
