Tuesday Salon on Transitional Justice

On May 21, 2024, the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) and Democracy for Development (D4D) co-organized a Tuesday Salon at the Dukagjini bookstore, focusing on the process of transitional justice in Kosovo, 25 years after the war. The discussion covered various aspects of transitional justice, including the documentation of war crimes, dealing with the past, the current state of survivors, and the role of different actors in fostering an inclusive, just, and peaceful future for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.

 

The event featured insightful contributions from several distinguished panelists: Bekim Blakaj, Executive Director at HLC Kosovo; Selvi Izeti, Psychologist at KRCT; Gjylbehare Murati, Professor at Haxhi Zeka University; and Blerim Halili from the Institute for War Crimes (IKKL). The discussion provided a platform for sharing perspectives and exploring ways to advance transitional justice in Kosovo
