Financial Empowerment for Women Survivors of War

Financial Empowerment for Women Survivors of War

It empowered survivors of sexual violence to engage in dialogue, share experiences, and work towards their psychosocial rehabilitation and reintegration into society. The program also encouraged communication between women from rural and urban areas, creating interethnic bridges and mutual understanding. Through art and body therapy, survivors were provided with safe spaces to express emotions and rebuild confidence. In addition, the activity enabled participants to develop their crafts and skills, helping them move toward financial independence by selling their handmade products. The sessions highlighted the need for ongoing support and empowerment, as many survivors continue to face internalized stigma and seek opportunities for meaningful participation in social and public life.
