Future of Economy 2023

The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) organized the second edition of the Future of Economy Programme from October 15-20, 2023, in Brezovica, Kosovo. The event brought together young economists and talented individuals to discuss a variety of cross-cutting topics. These included inequality, regional economic cooperation, state asset management, the political economy of welfare, trade negotiations, circular economy, the green transition, and emerging challenges.

The programme provided a platform for exchange with distinguished lecturers and practitioners from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Germany, the Czech Republic, and the European Union. By incorporating the context of regional cooperation, participants had the opportunity to engage interactively through various simulation games, group work, and a visit to a solar panel company.

The participants are now part of the Future of Economy Alumni Network. As this network grows, FES Kosova will continue to support initiatives that aim to deepen regional economic cooperation, facilitate integration processes, and build better economies for all.
