THE FUTURE OF ECONOMY PROGRAMME

06–11 September 2026 | Brezovica, Kosova

Who we are and what we offer:

The Western Balkans and Turkey are facing a rapidly changing economic landscape shaped by technological transformation, geopolitical shifts, climate challenges, and evolving models of growth. These developments require new ways of thinking about how economies can become more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient.

The Future of Economy Programme (FEP), organized by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) in Kosova, brings together young economists, researchers, policy professionals, and emerging young voices from the Western Balkans and Turkey to explore the economic challenges and opportunities shaping our region.

From 06–11 September 2026 in Brezovica, Kosova, the next cohort of FEP participants will engage in discussions on topics including the future of work, economic transformation, green transition, energy, inequality, economic democracy, geopolitical developments, and sustainable economic models.

Through expert sessions, interactive discussions, simulations, case studies, and group work, participants will gain new perspectives, strengthen their analytical skills, and collaborate with peers from across the region.

FEP is more than a learning programme — it is a platform for building connections, exchanging ideas, and empowering a new generation of voices committed to shaping a fairer and more sustainable economic future.
